A lot of eating, a lot of travelling and a certain amount of visiting vineyards, including this rather difficult-to-manage one on Howell Mountain – see below.
As usual my diary starts with the tail end of the month before, in this case when we flew to San Francisco for nine nights, both there and in Napa Valley. But two days before I had had a final post-pneumonia check-up chest X-ray and was pronounced ‘normal’ – which I took as rather an insult.
