Julia's Austrians – mostly Steiermark

While Jancis focused mainly on the Wachau, in north-east Austria, at the annual Austrian tasting in London in February, I set my sights on Steiermark, Styria in English, in the south-east, since I have not tasted wines from that distinctive region for some time.
While both are dominated by light-skinned varieties, the two regions are different in every way and especially in the varieties planted. The wine regions of Niederösterreich (Lower Austria) that flank the Danube and its tributaries west of Vienna...
