Latour leads the firsts down

Ch Latour, the first growth most likely to go its own way, is the first first, so to speak, to strike out in the controversial 2008 en primeur campaign by announcing its opening price for its really very successful 2008. At 110 euros from the château, 130 from the négociants, a bottle, this represents a decrease of 46% on the 2007 price although is slightly more than the 100 euros that many observers were hoping for – and may yet see from the other first growths.
