More Bordeaux 2009s – some affordable

As I outline in today's wine of the week, I have been lucky enough to have quite a few chances to re-taste red bordeaux from the hugely appealing 2009 vintage (see Tasting articles by region). Those at the top end are famous for how expensive they are but UK supermarket Tesco is still offering a wide range from their earlier mega-purchase by the case of six (not always wooden).
