Robert Slotover, pictured below by his wife Jill at his son's new London restaurant Toklas, is more obsessed by obscure wine grapes than anyone we know, and in the tasting described here added considerably to our knowledge.
The name Slotover may be familiar to those in the contemporary art world. Matthew Slotover cofounded the hugely successful Frieze magazine and art fairs. But his father, classical music agent Robert, who wrote today’s article republished in our Throwback Thursday series, is likely to be of more interest to wine lovers.
