Recent red burgundy vintages – what to drink

I've been tasting quite a bit of red burgundy recently and the vintage characteristics have been pretty consistent. Too early to consider the 2002s of course – though I'm really looking forward to getting a good look at them in January. The 2001s are generally pretty surly and tough at the moment. Definitely to be cellared away for quite a long while.
But the surprise is how lovely the 2000s already are – even some grands crus. I think I'll be serving Clos des Lambrays 2000 to the family for Christmas lunch on the basis of how it tasted...
