Records smashed at German wine auctions

The VDP auctions on 21 and 23 September in Trier and Bad Kreuznach respectively broke all previous records and set some extraordinary new world records. The Kellers of Rheinhessen were big winners.
The first record tumbled at the auction of Mosel wines in Trier when Egon Müller, Alte Reben Riesling Kabinett 2017 achieved a new all-time high for the Kabinett category with €249.90 per bottle for a quantity of 1,256 bottles, coming to an overall total of €313,874.40.
