Rhône 2007 – from the spittoon

Just a few quick observations between tastings – many of them of a range of 2007 Rhônes.
- The north seems very much more varied than the south, with an almost mind-boggling array of styles in the north, from unreconstructed winemaking reminiscent of the 1960s to super-flash polish. That said, there should be something in there for everyone and it will be my duty in presenting my tasting notes to make the distinctions clear.
