Some top South African producers

The fine wines of South Africa deserve much more attention than they receive. The following are all tasting notes I have taken in London over the last few months and are listed alphabetically by winery (sur)name, with the name of the winemaker immediately after the name of the wine producer.

The farm is owned by Adi and Hein Badenhorst, self-described as a 'dynamic and good-looking cousins' although if pressed very slightly Adi will tell you that he is the better-looking one. Adi's grandfather was general manager of Groot Constantia for 46 years...
