I took part in the most extraordinary blind tasting the other day, of four first growth 2006 bordeaux and five wines, mainly 2009s, made for an ambitious new outfit about which I shall be writing on Saturday, SGC. As you can see, they more than kept their end up – although if you look at my most recent horizontal tasting of Bordeaux 2006, you will see that we were not really comparing like with like. And the Lafite 2006 did not show particularly well in Southwold either.
