The white wine counterpart of the thirty-fifth Cape Mentelle International Cabernet Tasting described yesterday was the next day’s thirty-second Cullen Wines International Chardonnay Tasting that I also had the pleasure of attending during our short stay in Margaret River in November.
Those of us wine lovers who live far from Western Australia are well aware of Margaret River’s prowess with Cabernet but I suspect fewer of us associate the region with the top-quality Chardonnay it undoubtedly produces. (We may even associate ‘Margs’ more readily with its unique blends of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon.)...
