Liberty Wines holds a vast tasting every September at The Oval cricket ground in which the wines from their massive portfolio are grouped on long tables by variety, arranged in ascending price order, wherever they come from.
I love this approach as I am particularly interested in objective value, and wine prices and their apparent upward march, as will be evident in my FT article this Saturday. And, unlike some other attendees, I was not distracted by the sight of various famous cricketers...
