Top Tuscan 1999s & 2001s now

The following tasting notes were taken at tasting and dinner in Hamburg last weekend designed to prove that, yes, Tuscan reds can age! I'll be writing more about the background to the event on Saturday and my overall impressions of the wines. The dozen 1999s were served blind in two flights of six, the first six served very slightly too warm, so sunny was our room overlooking the busy river Elbe.
