A presentation of the Ahr, Nahe and Rheinhessen chapters of the VDP in early July gave me the opportunity to catch up with the 2010 offerings of some growers whose wines I had missed out on at the Weinbörse in Mainz earlier in the year (see Germany 2010 – a first look at a tricky vintage). The majority of the wines featured were in the dry (trocken) style, in line with the demand of the domestic market.
