This week in London is Burgundy 2009 week. We are planning to attend a total of 27 tastings of 2009 burgundies in London this month, and that, believe it or not, is not every single one of them.
This week has the greatest concentration of them: six tastings on each of Tuesday and Wednesday which is surely crazy. Problem is that the merchants can't bear to think of losing an order to one of their rivals whose tasting happened to be the week before theirs. And there is an influx of producers from Burgundy this week who like to attend...
