Burgundy 2012 – 'what a shocker'

Burgundy resident Gareth Skidmore wrote the following report on Monday.
It rained heavily during the night and again this morning. The afternoon sky is still threatening and there is a spasmodically strong breeze blowing in the clouds from the west. The Côte de Beaune vignerons who brought in their worryingly low yields in the mild, hazy sunshine last week were lucky. Those hoping to finish off today are not so lucky. The Côte de Nuits growers who waited for this week are not lucky at all and facing more cloud and rain throughout.
