Craggy Range – the new New Zealander

Please note this was originally published last May and all I have done today, 11 Feb 05, is tidy up the fonts and added a reference to Doug Wisor's tragically fatal accident later in 2004.
We are now able to judge the first full set of wines made in New Zealand's most ambitious new winery ever, Craggy Range Vineyards' Giants operation, opened in 2002 with a party so uncharacteristically glitzy for New Zealand that I was conscious of it even here on the other side of the world. (Kiri sang for their supper, I believe.)
