Every year the wine producers of the self-styled Gimblett Gravels subregion in New Zealand's Hawke's Bay send me (and several other wine writers around the globe, I believe) a dozen of the best examples of the latest vintage chosen by my fellow Master of Wine Australia-based Andrew Caillard. See my previous assessments of the impressive 2014s, the 2013s (included in this New Zealand compilation), the particularly disappointing 2012s, the 2011s, the 2010s and the 2009s and 2008s.
