Alpha Estate has made its mark very quickly on both sides of the Atlantic as well as in Greece. Indeed, the first two ‘experimental vintages’ were 2001 and 2002 and a few wines from these vintages were included in the tasting (see notes below) more for interest than for evaluation since they were made in a less than ideal winemaking environment. The new winery (pictured here) is designed to the last millimetre to be that ideal environment, to suit the fruit harvested...
