Inside information 日本ワイン、その過去と未来－パート 1 日本のワイン造りはこの10年で飛躍的な進歩を遂げた. ワイン講師でありワイン専門通訳・翻訳者でもある小原陽子DipWSETが国内から見た現状を報告する。 日本の酒と聞いて多くの人が思い浮かべるのはまず日本酒だろう。だが日本では現在、500軒近いワイナリーでワインが造られている。ワイン造りの歴史が比較的浅いこの小さな島国のワイン産業は、急速な成長と共に特にここ10年でその品質が飛躍的に向上した刺激的な世界だ。 では、どのようにして日本のワイン業界は今に至ったのか。日本ワインはどこに行けば手に入るのか。前者の問いにはこの記事で、後者には来月の続編でお答えしたいと思う。 「日本ワイン」とは 日本のワインについてまず明確にしたいのは、「国産ワインJapanese wine」と「日本ワインJapan Wine」の違いだ。 2018年まで使われていた「国産ワイン」という用語には、希釈した輸入濃縮果汁を発酵させたり、輸入バルクワインを加工したりして日本で製造されたワインも含まれていた。だが現在は「国産ワイン」という言葉は使われなくなり、「国内製造ワインDomestically produced wine」という用語が日本で加工されたすべてのワインに、そして「日本ワイン」は、「国産ぶどうのみを原料とし、日本国内で製造された果実酒」だけに使用されるようになった。 この2種のうち、品質とストーリーの両面ではるかに興味深いのはもちろん「日本ワイン」であり、この記事で扱うワインもすべて日本ワインである。... 10 Apr 2025 Guest contributor
