Day 4 of the Landmark Australia tutorial continued with winemaker Tom Carson’s selection of Pinot Noir. See these two short videos for his summary history of Pinot Noir in Australia and the climatic factors that influence the choice of site. Carson lamented the paucity of Pinot Noir clones but seemed encouraged by some of the more recent arrivals. These two slides from his presentation provide a good summary of those that are currently available.
