Nuits-St-Georges under the microscope

UK wine merchants Justerini & Brooks have decided to clear out some red burgundy from their well-stocked cellars, concentrating on 2007s and 2008s from their fine range of Nuits-St-Georges. I'm publishing the notes now in response to demand.
It was interesting to compare the two vintages and to see how open, charming and relatively approachable the 2007s are already while most 2008s are looking pretty austere and closed.
