NZ overtakes Germany in UK

I have to say that I am saddened by today's news that New Zealand has overtaken Germany as supplier of wine to UK retailers. Good for the New Zealanders, but how very sad for the Germans. This comes just two days after I learned that after years of presenting their latest vintage in London each May or June, the Grosse Ring, the group of top VDP producers in the Mosel and Nahe, will not be staging this glorious tasting this year.
