In this week leading up to the Master of Wine exams, we continue this series of relatively technical profiles of leading New Zealand wine producers of particular interest to Monty Waldin, author of Monty Waldin's Biodynamic Wine Guide 2011 (sold via www.lulu.com).
Fromm was founded in 1992 by the Swiss Fromm family and is renowned for Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and latterly for its Syrah. The Fromms have since retired, selling their shares to two main shareholders, Pol Lenzinger and George Walliser.
