Some bizarre new wine specialities

First, from Berlin-based wine writer and artist Stuart Pigott comes news of the first-ever answer to vintage port to be made in Germany, a wine called Sex Machine, if you please, from a trio of young growers in the Pfalz who are good friends with Dirk van der Niepoort of the eponymous shipper in Oporto. Stuart reports it is "loaded with tannin, but bursting with fruit and already positively silky! – reminded me that I should get in touch." I'm still waiting for his explanation of the sequitur here but the very existence of the wine suggests global warming really...
