Jancis writes This collection of 158 tasting notes includes 51 white wines. Spain is generally much more readily associated with red wines but I am struck by how many of our top-scoring wines are white. In fact, at JancisRobinson.com we seem to have been rather more impressed by the white wines that have come our way recently than by the red riojas – particularly but not exclusively the whites made in the far north west of the country in regions such as Valdeorras.
