Kusuda of Martinborough – a bonsai enterprise?

Hiro Kusuda (see this article from 2009) took his first holiday in 20 years last September. He and his wife visited the Terra Tangra wine project in Bulgaria, close to the Turkish border, and followed this with four days in London before going on to Tokyo, where, presumably, he met up with his brother, an instructor at L’Academie du Vin there (which claims to be the biggest wine school in Asia).
We lunched together while he was in London and he brought me up to date with developments on his small wine estate in Martinborough on New Zealand’s North Island...
