Rules prohibiting British wine retailers from selling American wines stronger than 15 per cent, as reported in High alcohol wines – different countries’ responses, have recently been relaxed. We Brits can therefore expect to see a much wider range of wine styles sold by those (relatively few) UK specialists in fine wine from the US.
