London wine merchant Armit showed its Italian wares in March. John Armit founded the company in 1988 after having worked for Corney & Barrow and spent seven years managing wine investment portfolios based on bordeaux. He was one of the pioneers of Italian fine wine in the UK with names such as Gaja (Angelo and Gaia G are pictured here as on Armit's website), Bruno Giacosa, Tenuta San Guido of Sassicaia fame and, eventually, Ornellaia.
