Austria has the highest percentage of organic agriculture in Europe: already 30% of the total, and 4.2% of viticulture (with a significant number of producers in the process of transition to organic, though some may not bother to seek accreditation). This is a higher percentage than any other country in Europe, though Italy has a higher number of hectares farmed organically.
Biodynamic producers are also very proactive, as you might expect from anyone convinced enough to follow all the procedures involved in this branch of viticulture. (A site search on 'biodynamic' will yield many more discursive articles on this subject...
