It appears that Napa’s Beaulieu Vineyard will finally be able to treat its most important wine, the Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, with the respect it deserves.
BV’s owner, drinks giant Diageo, announced 19 Oct that it will spend nearly $7 million/₤3.4 million to create a facility devoted to the making of Georges de Latour, which has been produced since 1936, side by side with BV’s extensive range of other wines, some of them California blends that sell for $10.
