The Canadians have long been proud of their wines and finally this pride is increasingly justified. Indeed, so confident are they of how well their wines show in an international context that they organised an extremely well-attended tasting of some of their best last May at Canada House in London (left, as seen from Trafalgar Square). It was called 'Rediscover Canadian Wine', which struck me as a mite optimistic.
