Two leading Bordeaux châteaux have announced plans to build new wineries on their estates. Both the Pauillac fifth growth Ch Lynch Bages and Ch Cheval Blanc, the Premier Grand Cru Classé A property in St-Émilion, are looking at innovative new winery projects.
Ch Lynch Bages is planning to pull down the current warehouse space behind the château and build a new winery in its place. The new construction will be as environmentally low-impact as possible, using techniques such as solar energy and geo-thermal technology.
