Chianti Classico can be a really excellent wine nowadays (see my overview in free for all) and my only worry about the notes on the following 55 current examples is that I have been too mean when scoring the best ones. As so often for Italian red wine, styles are all over the place: from souped up, ‘international’ and obviously oaked to delicate and precise expressions of terroir. I have tried to indicate style as well as quality in my notes.
