This tasting of 31 Pinot Noir wines was organised by the UK's Awin Barratt Siegel (ABS) Wine Agencies to showcase their current range of German Spätburgunders in the wake of some increasingly positive coverage of Spätburgunder, not least on this site. See, for example, Jancis's German Pinot Noir does itself a favour and Michael Schmidt's tasting reviews of the 2009 vintage.
To give the wines some context, alongside the 19 German wines was a smaller selection of wines from Austria, Australia, New Zealand, Chile and South Africa.
