Jacques Lurton is on a mission. In 2019, on the death of his father, he took on the presidency of Vignobles André Lurton and in 2022 that of the Syndicat Viticole de Pessac-Léognan. Adding committee roles at the Entre-Deux-Mers winegrowers association and representation at the Fédération des Grands Vins de Bordeaux, his cup is clearly pretty full. What adds further interest is his drive to evolve and renew things at the family-owned company, a desire nurtured by 30 years’ experience making wine around the world.
