Pierre Lurton on 2005

Pierre Lurton, double-header supreme in his capacity as director of both Ch Cheval Blanc and Ch d’Yquem, was in London on Wednesday for a great tasting of notable vintages of Cheval from 2000 back to 1975 organised by Bibendum Wine on which I shall report in detail.
 
He needed little persuasion to talk about the most recent vintage 2005 in Bordeaux. “The difference between 2005 and 2003 is that although both seasons were very dry, 2005 wasn’t nearly as hot.
