But can you blame us? Think about it. We drink locally – mostly from California – because these are the first wines we taste, the ones made from grapes grown in our backyards, the ones dominating shelves of the stores in which we shop. Find me a Bordeaux native whose first taste of wine was Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and I’ll lick his or her boots.
