My spies tell me that one of Australia's finest winemakers has just been 'let go' by the large company that employs him. Said large company must be crazy. While building a great and extremely hard-working team, this talented and well connected individual has lifted the performance of the wines for which he is responsible to new heights. And has been formally recognised for doing so.
It is thought that this widely admired winemaker is being catapulted out in to the harsh reality of the job market for the simple reason of cost cutting. Simple being the operative word.
