While I struggle to present our nearly 1,500 tasting notes in tidy, logical and easy-to-read form (I'll start to publish the first lot later today), here are some generalisations – to which, as always in Burgundy, there are always exceptions.
- In very general terms reds are better than whites in 2005.
- White burgundy lovers will find better bargains among the 2004s which are already starting to fill out nicely, and the 2006 whites are promising well too, not least in Chablis.
