The new money behind Oddbins must be hoping against hope that the demise of Thresher/Wine Rack will drive more traffic into their stores, the only chain left on the high street. The intentions of the new regime, Simon Baile and Henry Young, seem absolutely honourable. They genuinely seem determined to offer something of interest to true wine lovers, and to enthuse their staff at the same time.
