It would be wrong to conclude from the title that the 2017 Rosso di Montalcinos aren’t worth the attention of wine lovers, but after having tasted 70 samples from this super-hot vintage, my conclusion is similar to what I felt about the Chianti Classico 2017s after tasting them in February: they are generally good but there are few great highlights.
