A list worth reading

The latest wine paperback has just landed on my desk and I can heartily recommend it. It's the 2003 list of the Australian wine specialist Vin du Van and is stuffed full of delightfully silly prose, and some pretty good wines too.
Vin du Van won the Wine List of the Year award in this year's International Wine Challenge and I can quite see why. Don't expect fancy illustrations, or even a hint of colour, but it's well-designed and, as I say, could while away really quite a long rail journey. Actually, on second thoughts you might find the unmitigated...
