The revolving doors at Napa Valley wineries are sorely in need of greasing, as a number of high-profile vintners have recently retired, taken new jobs, or departed with little explanation.
First up is Michaela Rodeno, the chief executive officer at St Supery Vineyards & Winery since its inception in 1988. She announced her retirement this week, turning the reins of the Robert Skalli-owned Rutherford winery over to former Sebastiani Vineyards COO Emma Swain.
