When reviewing a book, it is preferable to finish the whole thing before formulating one’s opinion. In that way, it is decidedly different from reviewing a bottle of wine. Finishing the latter very often encourages the expression of opinions, but their integrity is less well assured.

I must confess, then, that I haven’t finished reading Stephen Skelton’s latest self-published book, Wine Growing in Great Britain – but I have read enough to tell how valuable and useful it is.
