Bordeaux 2000 – how are they now?
Last week I had the great pleasure of 'looking at' nearly 50 of the more significant red bordeaux from the vintage celebrating its tenth birthday. This is traditionally the time at which classical red bordeaux starts to come round and starts to provide good drinking. I am delighted that fine wine traders Bordeaux Index have decided to take over the mantle of my late mentor Edmund Penning-Rowsell in organising an annual retrospective tasting of 10-year-old top bordeaux.
