Bordeaux 2006 – sit tight!

Word is from both merchants and retailers that the Bordeaux 2006 campaign is very flat indeed.

 

Despite the most skilful selective reporting of Parker’s report on the vintage (lacing together the most positive comments to make it look as though he is really enthusiastic about it) demand is sluggish to say the least and proprietors are hoping that the Bordeaux merchants will take up their allocations even though they may well have sit on their stock for quite a while. At least there are the September Foires aux Vins in French supermarkets to take the 2006s off the Bordeaux...
