I was sent these samples but did not find them very thrilling, I'm afraid. Which is why I am publishing this tasting article so discreetlyl.
Eugenio Collavini, Blancfumat Sauvignon 2011 Collio
Firmly scented and obviously green and Sauvignon but with a bit more body than anything from the Loire and drier than anything from outside Europe. Lightly vibrant. Mildly smoky. Attractive, substantial wine. (JR)

Eugenio Collavini Ribolla Gialla 2011 Colli Orientali del Friuli
Broad aroma and very winning. Relatively low acid. Massively fruity start and a chalky finish. Well made, well balanced. Just falls off a bit on the finish. (JR)

Eugenio Collavini, Broy 2010 Collio
Smells quite long on Sauvignon and is pretty substantial. Some oak influence? Good balance and competent without being thrilling. Just tad sour. (JR)

Eugenio Collavini, dal Pic Merlot 2006 Collio
Absolutely ridiculously heavy bottle. Light and dusty without strong core of fruit. Sees a bit over the hill to me. (JR)

Eugenio Collavini, Forrésco 2005 Colli Orientali del Friuli
Ridiculously heavy bottle. Much more substance on the palate than the Merlot 2006. Not hot and with layers. Good balance. Tar and black fruits. Mld and mellow but with some vitality. é (JR)
