For the first time since enrolling on the MW course three years ago, I now, finally, truly believe I can gain the qualification. This is not to underplay the difficulty of the dissertation, but rather to emphasise the particular difficulty of the tasting exam. For most sufferers it is the single biggest obstacle in the programme, and is the undoing of many a fine candidate.
