Duty-free wine on the internet?

The British media are very excited about a story which suggests that a European Court ruling expected early next week on Nov 23 will allow citizens of one European country to import goods without paying duty in their own country so long as the duty has been paid in the country of origin. This rather dry explanation has been loosely translated as “Now we can all buy wine duty free on the internet in France/Italy/Spain etc” which would indeed, in theory, be fantastic business for the likes of Millésima and ChateauOnline in France and TodoVino in Spain who are setting...
